A largely undiscovered province, Trang is on the lower Andaman Coast. The islands and breaches aren't as pretty as neighbouring Krabi's however there's good diving on the islands of ko Ngai, ko Muk and ko kradan.
There's nowhere in Trang to rent diving gear, so unless you make arrangements through a dive operator, bring your own gear.
